What does it mean "Kenyan 1500m Training" ?
There are different methods, of course depending on the coach.

Sicuramente molto interessante, anche se a me paiono troppi km. Non so dove, ma avevo letto un'intervista a due 800/1500isti europei, Ciaran O'Lionard e Ingebritsen, che parlavano di un volume settimanale tra gli 80 e i 100 km ma con un sacco di lavoro fisico in palestra.

Io avrei delle domandine:
-4 sets of 3 starts from different position (on the ground) = E' la stessa cosa che fanno fare ai velocisti? O meglio, a me sembra una cosa di super forza esplosiva e riflessi (quelli che servono al velocista per partire).
-stretching = Perché lo specifica in certe sedute? Vuol dire che fa una seduta di stretching più completo/lungo?
-Esercizi di rapidità = Idem come sopra. Perché li specifica solo in certe sedute? E i drills normali quando li fanno?
-1h:10' moderate run = Sarebbe un lungo?
Per il resto sarebbe bello sapere anche cosa fanno nella gym e quanto debbano mangiare per reintegrare tra un allenamento e l'altro (non sono maratoneti, quindi non hanno bisogno di correre a digiuno. Pertanto CIBO CIBO CARBO CARBO!!). Per il resto psicologicamente mi sembra un programma molto fattibile (per chi se lo può permettere ovviamente).

l'atleta è silas kiplagat, eccellente nei 1500 (3'27), buono nei 3000 (7'39), scarso sugli 800 (1'46.75).

è un programma invernale...
abbastanza completo. c'è la forza, la velocità, le salite, vari fartlek (con quelli più brevi probabilmente mantengono il ritmo gara).
aerobia continua qualitativa ci sono solo 2 sedute in 3 settimane, di 8km circa a 3: perfetto.
nulla a che vedere coi 15km fatti fare a scapini da rondelli...
quanto ai lenti... sotto dice che "moderate" significa 3'20-3'40... però inizialmente c'è una seduta di 1h di 16km, cioè 3'45.
spesso nei paesi anglosassoni con "moderate" intendono la nostra cl, mentre con "easy" un quasi jogging.
può darsi che sti moderate li fa a base 3'40-3'45 e ogni tanto nel finale va a 3'30 o 3'20.
il lungo di 1h10 sarà di 18-20km a seconda della velocità con cui interpreta il "moderate"...

vediamo che nel mese pre-campionati:
- non abbassa nè volume nè numero di lavori fino a 7gg dalla gara
- nell'ultima settimana non fa quasi una mazza
- NON FA ALTRE GARE (capito, italiani?)
- fa solo una seduta medioveloce continua, di 6km
